JOE Rogan has spoken out about his ongoing health disorder, including the little-known device that "has made a huge difference."

Rogan, who suffers from sleep apnea, opened up on "The Joe Rogan Experience," about his struggles, and what he has done to help treat it.

During his podcast, Rogan told Dr. Rhonda Patrick, that he uses a snoring mouthpiece, which he prefers over CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machines.

He said he was able to get his device from Dr. Bryan Keropian, who created the mouthpiece.

“He devised a mouthpiece that has like a little tongue depressor…The mouthpiece sits in my mouth and the tongue depressor keeps my tongue from sliding back and closing my airway,” explained Rogan.

When comparing it to the CPAP machine, he explained it was much more comfortable for him to use.

“A lot of people have problems with CPAPs, it’s uncomfortable wearing a mask over your face, that’s how I felt,” said the UFC commentator.

Rogan revealed that he needs the device to sleep since he has a large tongue.

“I have a big tongue, when I lay down it closes the airway so my tongue slides,” said Rogan.

The podcaster claims that the device generally makes a big difference for athletes who have muscular necks.

Rogan has been very open about spreading awareness about sleep apnea.

Sleep apnea is a disorder that disrupts the normal breathing process while a person is asleep.

In another podcast, he explained how even helped someone who he believed also suffered from the same disorder.

He explained that there was a guy sitting behind him on a plane who was snoring loudly, at some points he would stop breathing for a few seconds.

Once the man woke up, Rogan suggested that the man might be suffering from the same health disorder that he deals with.

“I said 'Do you know you have sleep apnea?' He’s like 'What do you mean' and I said 'Okay, let me tell you what’s going on,'" he explained.

Rogan suggested his mouthpiece and told him: “You got to go to a doctor…It will change your life now."
